A union of two people is a life long journey. You've found the right place to start your lives together or renew your vows. I can assist you from here on out. Think of me as your Marriage Guide.
In order to adhere to local laws and regulations in Northern Kentucky, I will need a few things to fulfill the requirements for the paperwork. Here are the items you will need:
A Marriage License can be obtained from any Court House in Kentucky for $35.50. They will require both parties be present (Bride and Groom) with their state photo ID's. This can be picked up at any time before 30 days until the ceremony. After 30 days the Marriage License will expire and you'll have to do this all over again. There is no time requirement between obtaining the Marriage License and performing the Ceremony. You could pick up the Marriage License and immediately get married the same day.
Typically once you have a Marriage License, you would schedule an appointment with me within 30 days. You can schedule an appointment by phone or using the email form. Appointments are first come, first serve. I cannot guarantee a specific date or time will be available until after you contact me. Once the Appointment is made, that time slot is allocated to your ceremony.
The day of your wedding, make sure everyone has their State issued ID's. I am required by state law to check that the persons getting married are the intended party. You will also need two (2) witnesses to be present at the time of the vows.
The ceremony can take place anywhere you want. You can rent a hall, a park, your house, outside the courthouse, etc. I typically charge $120 to have the ceremony at your place of choosing. I have a pretty flexible schedule but I will need at least four (4) hours in advanced but the more notice the better. I will typically try to contact you a few days before your scheduled appointment to confirm the date.
Once you schedule an appointment, I do reserve that time for you. If for any reason you need to cancel or reschedule, please be courteous and let me know as soon as possible so that I make other arrangements.
I hope to hear from you soon and I wish you the best for your big day to come.
